ANNOUCEMENT: REGISTERATION OPEN FOR OUR NEW ONLINE DHARMA COURSE
Dear Dharma Friends,
We are pleased to announce that in the Spring of 2016, Wisdom & Compassion Dharma University will launch an online Dharma course taught entirely in English by respected Dharma teachers from Larung Gar Buddhist Academy. With great joy, we welcome you to join us in this opportunity to engage in a systematic approach to the study and practice of the Dharma.
The course content will be arranged in three modules: theoretical learning, meditation guidance and Dharma discussion.
· The module on theoretical learning will closely follow lectures given by Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche and will include his teachings on a series of sutras and shastras, such as the Heart Sutra, The Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva by Gyalsé Tokmé Zangpo, A Letter to a Friend by Nagarjuna and so on, with new material being made available to students of the course once every two weeks.
· The module on meditation guidance, will begin with an examination of mindfulness meditation and Bodhicitta practice, guided by the teachings on the cultivation of Bodhicitta given by Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche, with new material made available once every week.
· The Discussion module will offer an opportunity to more deeply examine the meaning of the Dharma teachings given in the other two modules. This will include special consideration of some of the vocabulary unique to an understanding of Dharma concepts, which will be arranged once every two weeks.
